The short version
Your practice stays on your device. There is no account, no sign-in, no advertising and no cookies, and we do not track you as an individual. We count visits in aggregate (see Visitor statistics below). The app never asks for your location. We do not receive your progress, and we cannot see it.
What is stored, and where
The app keeps these items in your browser's local storage on your own device:
| Item | What it holds |
|---|---|
irish-road-progress-v1 | Your attempts and results per lesson, used for your progress and "Where you'd fail". |
irt-theme | Light or dark theme. |
irt-difficulty | Your chosen difficulty. |
irt-slots-advanced | Whether "No slot count" is on. |
The app also saves its own files in your browser so it works offline. These items are needed for the features you use, so no consent banner is shown. None of it is sent anywhere.
Hosting
The website is served by Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages). Like any web host, it handles your IP address and basic request details (time, page, browser type) to deliver the pages and protect the service from abuse. We do not use these for anything else, and we do not combine them with anything. See the host's own privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Visitor statistics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit, which pages they read, roughly which country they are in, what kind of device they use and which website sent them. We see totals only, never a record of one person. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, and it does not record your progress. Your IP address and browser details reach Cloudflare as they do for any page request, as described under Hosting.
Map data
Town map geometry is bundled with the app, so viewing it makes no request to any map service. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL.
